Keeping to the unmoving Centre of the wheel and satipattana

I have been listening to an audio book of the tao te ching. Very intriguing. I can't help but feel that what laozi meant by tao is Satisampajañña. But each English translation of the tao te ching is so different. I would like to ask any Chinese speaking friends(and others) here, what is the most reliable English translation of the tao te ching?
O seeing one,we for refuge go to thee!
O mighty sage do thou our teacher be!

Paccuppannañca yo dhammaṃ,
Tattha tattha vipassati

“Yato yato mano nivāraye,
Na dukkhameti naṃ tato tato;
Sa sabbato mano nivāraye,
Sa sabbato dukkhā pamuccatī”ti.
