The dangers and benefits of eating chocolate

Post by gavesako » Thu Jul 07, 2011 11:53 am

Many Theravada monks will consider dark chocolate (without milk) as an allowable tonic ("medicine") in the afternoon.

Consider this information:

Unquestionably there are stupid laws passed (most by Republicans), but banning chocolate as described in that "article" would have caused a very vocal response.

I find it curious that milk is a problem while the insect fragments and rodent hairs in chocolate are not a concern.
But whoever walking, standing, sitting, or lying down overcomes thought, delighting in the stilling of thought: he's capable, a monk like this, of touching superlative self-awakening. § 110. {Iti 4.11; Iti 115}
