Venerable Monks/Nuns

Post by Laurens » Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:56 pm

I find it particularly inspiring to read biographies and discourses from highly realised individuals. I figured it might be a good resource to create a topic where people share inspiring teachers (either contemporary or from the past) with a link to some of their work, a biography, and some details as to why you find them inspiring.

The topic on Webu Sayadaw really inspired me as I hadn't heard of him before. I hope this topic might help myself and others find similar inspiration.

"If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"
