I posted similarly before. In Thailand, traditionally, the young men are sent to the monastery for training for one rainy season. The young women will not marry a man who had not done the monastic training (for soon to be husbands). The monasteries are full of men but not women. But this only results in the ILLUSION of patriarchy. In reality, the young men are being trained for marriage for the benefit of women. This traditional system is for women.justindesilva wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 5:49 am reason why patriarchy is seen in buddhism in a stronger manner.
Is Buddhism is a very patriarchal religion ???

There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.
