In this talk Venerable Ajahn Thanissaro comments on some aspects of lay-life and practicing Dhamma in everyday life. The talk starts out with the 3 characteristics and the 4 Noble Truths, and then goes more into aspects of lay-life.
Thanks for sharing this. I listened to it on the subway ride to an all-day meditation retreat, so it was a great way to start the day. Ajahn Thanissaro touched on many great points, namely keeping the precepts and moving towards greater happiness. I love his question for reflection: "What when I do it will lead to my long-term welfare and happiness?"
"Just as a large banyan tree, on level ground where four roads meet, is a haven for the birds all around, even so a lay person of conviction is a haven for many people: monks, nuns, male lay followers, & female lay followers."—AN 5.38
