What is the sixth sense base ?

Here I copied my question :

the sixth consciousness arises from the contact of the mind which is the sixth sense base versus mental objects .

See. Here it is. Here you say that consciousness arises from contact. See? I think this is incorrect....do you agree?
Also, I have seen nothing in the samyutta nikaya collection which says that the bases are relative to mental objects....so far all that I have seen is that the senses are bases for contact....seems like you have misplace things again. Is this right?
