Temple in Slovenia Looking for a Lay Resident (Upasaka)

Post by forestmat » Fri Jul 21, 2017 4:41 am

Posting this wonderful opportunity for a lay resident from Bhante Hiriko's facebook page, all enquiries to the contact details below please (I offered to post this here on behalf of the temple)

Looking for a Lay Resident (Upasaka)
At Samanadipa Forest Hermitage we are looking for a volunteer to manage our small kitchen and the gardens. It can be for a week, few weeks or even longer up to the mid November. Applicants need to be male, with a European passport, reasonably fluent either in Slovenian or in English, and comfortably familiar with Theravada Buddhist practice. Responsibilities focus on daily organisation of cooking activities (morning time) and occasional small work around the hermitage. We can provide a single room or kuti (hut), two meals a day, and the opportunity to have secluded time for study, meditation and for Dhamma discussions with the resident monks.
If you are interested, please contact us
via email at - samanadipa@gmail.com
or by phone on +386 (0)31 577 557
to arrange an initial meeting.

The main website for the temple is here: http://www.slo-theravada.org/samanadipa ... intro.html
