The Thai Forest Masters
by Ṭhānissaro Bhikkhu

The Thai forest tradition is well-known for the style of its teachings–direct, down-to- earth . . . but very little has been written about the content of its teachings: the positions it took on controversial issues regarding virtue, concentration, discernment, and release. This daylong focused on filling in this gap with reference to the recorded teachings of Ajaan Mun Bhuridatto, one of the founders of the tradition, as well as to the more systematic writings of two of his most articulate students, Ajaan Lee Dhammadharo and Ajaan Maha Boowa Nanasampanno.

With it being the rains retreat currently for a lot of monastics around the world, and the decreasing activity of the monks that comes with such a period, several monasteries do not upload the dhamma talks on to their website. They usually upload them after the retreat in early April. However, bucking that trend is the monks at Abhayagiri in the US. There are several excellent teachers here and I encourage you to share in the wisdom of their talks.

I found this short five minute video from Ajahn Amaro to be very inspiring. I recommend checking out some of the other videos from this channel too if you have time.
"The heart of the path is quite easy. There’s no need to explain anything at length. Let go of love and hate and let things be. That’s all that I do in my own practice." - Ajahn Chah

6 months of bliss- after 6 months of complete solitude, Ajahn Brahm recounts his experience and relates it to the Dhamma overall.

One of my favorite talks by him - uplifting, eye opening and encouraging.

The world is swept away. It does not endure...
The world is without shelter, without protector...
The world is without ownership. One has to pass on, leaving everything behind...
The world is insufficient, insatiable, a slave to craving.

Hi RB
Thanks for the video.
I am not sure whether that Dhamma talk is any relevance to lay people.
It is not possible for a lay person to lock him/her self in a room and expect someone to provide food and lodging for six months.
I feel that he could not convey his message to the audience.
If you have any comment please make it in the following thread.

Did Buddha say "Do nothing"?
