As with any other form of attachment, it can be removed only by training oneself to be mindful. Noting the mind is difficult as it's so extremely fast. One should first establish mindfulness on the body and feelings.
“A multitude of passions such as covetousness and rage, springing from ideas, torments one who takes a firm hold of it, with the result that his mind becomes burdened with vexation. Therefore, nibbāna remains remote from one who would rather carry the burden of suffering than practise meditation.”
A Discourse on the Mālukyaputta Sutta.

Sadhu, Bhante, thank you!

Well then, bhikku, purify the very starting point of wholesome states. And what is the starting point of wholesome states? Virtue that is well purified and view that is straight. Then, bhikku, when your virtue is well purified and your view straight, based upon virtue, established upon virtue, you should develop the four establishments of mindfulness in a threefold way.
-The Connected Discourses of the Buddha by Bhikku Bodhi, page 1629

That's from Samyutta Nikaya 47.3. The context is a bhikku asking for the training in brief. The threefold way is the practice of the four foundations of mindfulness internally, externally, and internally & externally. The bhikku went on to become an arahant.

The ultimate way of losing attachments to views is right view. Training that incorporates reflection on the dhamma, and of course also reflection on the views you are having. But to remove attachments you have to practice all the factors of the path.
