6 consciousness

I have to ask please. I feel consciousness happen in mind. Without brain/mind there cannot be consciousness. Am i right in understanding?

That's right.

Thinking, consciousness, enlighten, supposing, etc., can develop only in mind.

However, Paṇṇā also can arise at 5 sense by habit--but it can't develop anyway.
