Bring a good pair of earplugs. You'll need them for the general street noise, and to help cut out the inevitable, incessant, infernal Bob Marley. His brain-dead jingles are unavoidable.

Hi Retro.
I was on Phuket last month and hated it. If you are looking for a family vacation, I'd go somewhere else.

I've been to some nice parts, though I wouldn't recommend it either. Hope retro is lucky with his hotel!
