Humans just might have a 'magnetic' sixth sense

Post by Kusala » Thu Jun 23, 2011 1:50 am

Here's an interesting article...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43481631/ns ... e-science/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"He, the Blessed One, is indeed the Noble Lord, the Perfectly Enlightened One;
He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Serene One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of gods and men; he is Awake and Holy. "

--------------------------------------------
"The Dhamma is well-expounded by the Blessed One,
Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading to liberation, to be experienced individually by the wise. "

Wouldn't surprise me at all if there's some truth in it. I'm sure, on the basis of personal experience, that we are semi- or sub- consciously aware of many environmental cues and signals that aren't generally recognised as normal sensory input. They often go unnoticed because we aren't aware that they can exist - and then something happens to make us aware. Uneasiness before earthquakes is one fairly common example, awareness of imminent changes in the weather is another - and both could be electromagnetic.
On the other hand, I don't think it's terribly important - not even as important as the difference between colour-blindness and normal vision.
