I did the Khao San thing in my backpacker days.
It was all 20-somethings. Pretty sure it still is. So let's assume no beer-bellies.
At that time the scourge was Bob Marley.
Viscid, let's see your tatoo if it is not on your naughty bits. And please tell me they have stopped playing "No women no cry" from every Pad Thai shop. I always hated that.

I memory serves me correctly I would occasionally go to Kousan road during the "Hotel California" era....which lasted a long long time....

I'm convinced that repeated exposure to inane pop jingles can permanently damage the brain.
Maybe that tattoo ink seeps in as well.
