Slumdog Millionaire

Post by Individual »

Just saw it. One of the "uplifting" movies S. Dhammika mentioned in his blog, as the reason why he still sees movies--this movie is an example. It's great.

What do you think? Anyone seen it?

I liked it. It shows some of the realities of life that about 35% to 50% of the world faces everyday. It had a great story too, perhaps about 3 different stories going on at once, don't want to say too much so I don't spoil it for anyone wanting to see it.

Definitely two thumbs up - 'must see'

I went into the movie thinking it's one of those overhyped movies, I've liked very few oscar movies.

It was a juxtaposition of modern cruel realities with old time values and innocent romance, with adorable children from the slums who can really act, and an unlikely hero that you end up rooting for -- with really hip editing, adventure and awesome music!

It did deserve all the awards that it got.
