Please pray for my friends
Please pray for my friends
My friends Bill and Suz in Michigan are having a difficult time. Bill will be having open-heart surgery before the end of September. Suz has been on long-term medications which, it turns out, have damaged her kidneys and they are now only at 20% of their normal function. She is now off all her kidney-damaging medications, so she is in pain from other issues as well as having poorly-functioning kidneys.
Re: Please pray for my friends
May Bill and Suz be well, happy and peaceful.
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Bill was in surgery for 14 hours on Wednesday. He is doing well now. He is still hooked up to some machines, but he can sit up now and today he ate some soup. Thank you all!

Do prayers and best wishes do anything other than satisfy our own desire to be of help?
