Maybe an exercice in forgiveness and compassion from the king?

I also trust the king of Thailand will forgive him.

The king of Thailand honors the Dhamma.

I recall when I first came here in '85 a former Speaker in the Thai Parliament got a six year sentence for this crime. In this case the man hadn't actually insulted the King at all; he had just got drunk at a party and in a moment of bravado boasted that he would if he felt like it. Unfortunately the boast was reported to his political enemies... :spy:

Best wishes,
