Accepting that my work is Art

Post by Ren »

Hi everyone.

After almost 3 months in a tech' support via chat job, I have come to the realization that Art is my main work. It is more fullfilling and will allow greater economical independence in the long run than jobs that are mostly temporary.

My first art project is a book on aphorisms that will be translated from spanish to italian, then to english... and finally to japanese. It was completed on the date of 2017-11-11/2560-11-11. (Common Era / Buddhist Era)

Karuna,
Anāgāmi PadmaPhala ~Ren*

Hi Ren,

Art certainly sounds a lot more fulfilling and interesting! Is the book about aphorisms (i.e. discussing or illustrating those of other people) or are the aphorisms your own?

You have my admiration. That is a tough art form, and one that I would imagine presents huge problems for translators.

Indeed, I will correct the italian translation and will do my own english translation.

About the japanese translation, I will start with making a draft translation.

Well let's hear some of them then.
"Does Master Gotama have any position at all?"

"A 'position,' Vaccha, is something that a Tathagata has done away with. What a Tathagata sees is this: 'Such is form, such its origination, such its disappearance; such is feeling, such its origination, such its disappearance; such is perception...such are fabrications...such is consciousness, such its origination, such its disappearance.'" - Aggi-Vacchagotta Sutta

'Dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return.' - Genesis 3:19

'Some fart freely, some try to hide and silence it. Which one is correct?' - Saegnapha

What do you mean by dhamma selling? The aphorisms are not buddhist.
