The Karate Kid movie

I am watching the original Karate Kid with my kids, to help teach them to live with honor, and to always protect those who are weaker than themselves.

I don't know if Keisuke Miyagi is a Buddhist character, but in the Next Karate Kid, he takes Julie to a Buddhist monastery to train in the martial arts.

Interestingly, the Ninja Turtles were also originally written as Buddhist characters:

The martial arts, including kung fu and ninjutsu, were originally invented for the protection of Buddhist temples and monasteries.
