What Dharma Talk Are You Listening To?

Post by sattva »

I listen to many Dharma talks in various traditions. I thought we might share what we are listening to, especially if there is something there we find meaningful. This is what I have been listening to right now. This is one called, "The Path: Illusion of Linear Movement".

I am listening to Venerable Bodhi's lectures on MN. He mentions things that are not in his written translation, so it is a good supplement and review of the material.

Great topic, Sattva. Thank you.

Ironically just at the moment I was searching for this dhamma talk, Portugal scored a goal. Thank you Ajahn Chah. :P

Thanks! :anjali:

This is what I listened to today. I found it helpful as I was confronted with Mara in my sitting.

These are a great set of talks. I've listened to them twice over the last four or five years. It always takes me about 4 months to get through them. I look forward to going back for another listen sometime in the future.

At the moment I listening to this set of talks from Ajahn Sumedho:

http://dharmaseed.org/teacher/10/?searc ... 08-2014%29

They are a collection/selection of 43 talks from about a six year time span. I find Sumedho is able to cut to the heart of the Dhamma, keeping a traditional take, but from his own uncomplicated and down to earth perspective. He really takes a practical approach to the Dhamma and I feel he makes no secret (without claiming directly though) of his insights and that he is awakened, and he manages to convey this in a natural, unconceited and matter of fact way for our benefit.

Sumedho has a great sense of humour too. Highly recommend any of his talks.

Thank you, both! Glad you liked it. I find so many good talks on Dharmaseed. Several of the things I like about the site is that they often deal with everyday problems that we all face and there are so many guided meditations!
