Kindnesss thread

Post by Mr Man »

I wonder if we could have a thread for general acts of kindness that we come across? The aim is to share some good news and celebrate the goodness of others.

Wonderful idea!

"When a wildfire swept across Western Australia, a pair of veterinarians and their nurses elected to stay at their clinic to give free medical care to animals left behind."

One day I was in one of our dollar stores and I was waiting in line to pay for something. It was the end of the month and money was short. When it was my turn to pay I was told that the man in front of me had paid for mine. He had already left and I couldn't thank him. One day not that long ago I was in that same store. There was a man behind me who had a couple of bags of ramen noodles. We started talking and he told me that it was all he could afford. I decided to pass along the kindness that had been shown to me and bought the man's food. This gave him the ability to go back, which he did, and got a few more things. Kindness both the giving and receiving of it, is such a beautiful thing! It does the heart good.

Thanks Sea Turtle for both links.
“Anything I can do to make these kids smile is awesome,” Classen told the Washington Post. “So whenever they’re happy, it just makes my day.”

Rain soddens what is covered up,
It does not sodden what is open.
Therefore uncover what is covered
That the rain will not sodden it.
