I would be very skeptical of any claims regarding quantum theory that are put forward by people who are not specialists in the field. Attempts at reconciling quantum theory and existential view are a dime a dozen, and they're usually debunked fairly quickly by actual quantum physicists.

Also, scientifically rigorous articles will never use the word "prove" in the title.

The article does not present the proof for anything and it does not indicate that anyone has the proof for anything....strange that the title should claim that something has been proven.

Certainly, there are some really interesting possibilities at the interface of physics and biology, since down at the cellular level we have operation via quantum-mechanical processes. And for almost a century there have been plenty of nay-sayers who used overly-simplistic understandings to reject various possibilities related to quantum mechanics that were later proved false by clever technology (lasers, scanning-tunnelling microscopy, etc...). So there is always a possibility of something interesting popping out.

What will be more interesting would be some serious work by an interdisciplinary team with experts on all parts of the puzzle.

And even if it did, how would that help us? Most of us (certainly myself) would not be able to understand the proof. And such a proof would be no more than an intellectual understanding with no direct experience or insight.
