And the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus, saying: "Behold now, bhikkhus, I exhort you: All compounded things are subject to vanish. Strive with earnestness!"

This was the last word of the Tathagata.

Those tectonic plates,
Silently sliding around.
Unaware of death.

May all beings be at peace; May all beings be freed from suffering.

:namaste:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Serene One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of gods and men; he is Awake and Holy. "

Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading to liberation, to be experienced individually by the wise. "

Food For Life Global is going to Nepal to help provide food relief to the earthquake victims by providing them with hot vegetarian meals. You can help them help the earthquake victims by making a donation:

People are in terror due to numerous aftershocks. Most of them are sleeping in streets and open places. No electricity, which means there will be scarcity of drinking water in Kathmandu.

People really really need help. The government is incompetent there.
