Peter the human predicts an outbreak of anthropomorphic superstition.

I think the German team if they keep their present manager, and nothing is certain in this world and even less so in the world of football, will be a formidable force in 2014.

We all want Jogi Löw to STAY! 100 % !

Even though we 'only' made place 3, Germany is very happy with Löw and this young team.

Felt sorry for the guys from Uruguay, 4th place is just so - :weep:

Were they the ones who cheated "hand of god" style to even get that far, or was that Paraguay... I always get confused between those two.

It was Uruguay, and the fans have not forgotten. Everytime Suarez touched the ball, a clearly audible 'BOO' went through the crowd.
Let it come. Let it be. Let it go.

I wonder if Paul the octopus would like to move in with me...I could do with a housemate with psychic powers and a few extra arms to do all those annoying little 'handyman' jobs. :D

It technically wasn't cheating as Suarez was punished exactly how the rules state, it's more taking advantage of a slight loophole in the rulebook!

But it's all over after tonight, and it's back to Stevenage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevenage_F.C.) and Manchester United for me.

Scotland and England need to play each other more often, the oldest rivalry in sport and they are yet to play each other in the 21st century, the last time was in November 1999. Even better, perhaps Scotland can improve dramatically, reach England's level and we won't have to pretend Germany and Argentina are our "rivals" anymore!

Congratulations to Spain, anyway.

Boring game...

Also, an interesting fact, only one nation finished the World Cup undefeated... rank outsiders New Zealand.

Since the Netherlands have now lost a game, New Zealand is the only team at this year's World Cup to not lose a game...

On the other hand, we didn't win any games either... :juggling:
