Probably nothing

Post by sattva »

Probably nothing, but I found out this afternoon that I have a bone lesion in my right hip. Not sure why I am posting this. Guess it is something you usually tell family and all of you feel like my family.

:anjali:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Thanks everyone! They wanted to do an MRI but because of a steel plate in my arm and a defibrillator in my chest, they can't. Looks like they are going to set me up with a CT scan or something like that. Then, they want me to see an orthopedic surgeon. I don't think any of this will happen before the first week or so in September.

Get the wanting out of waiting

What does womanhood matter at all, when the mind is concentrated well, when knowledge flows on steadily as one sees correctly into Dhamma. One to whom it might occur, ‘I am a woman’ or ‘I am a man’ or ‘I’m anything at all’ is fit for Mara to address. – SN 5.2
