It's All Good

Post by mikenz66 »

With the release of "Love and Theft" we had 9/11.
With Bob Dylan's new album "Together Through Life" we have swine flu...

Perhaps the irony isn't coming across so well in print form...

Right here!
I was out at the gym, walked the dogs around the park while minion no. 2 was at football training, then home to cook dinner and see minion no. 1 to cadets.
Now, where is that pesky Retro??

Hmmm....
I've never deleted an administrator's post before.
I guess there's always a first time!

Hey Mike!

What's the album like?
I'm waiting to receive it as a birthday gift from one of my tasteful young minions.
I can't wait!

Wish I had minions.

I like the album a little more than the last one, but overall perhaps not as good as Love and Theft (I miss Larry and Charlie...).

Now that Dylan is over 65 he's starting to sound like those old Black Blues guys whose lines he's been messing with for the last half-century...

Perhaps Retro's right:

Hi Mike
When you say his last album, do you mean Modern Times or Tell-tale Signs?
The alternative versions on TTS are inspired. Mississipi just makes my heart melt.

I can loan them out to you. They aren't always that good with the housework and sometimes my evil genius goes over their head but they're good fun.
Quinn has excelled himself recently by tormenting the school chaplain by asking 'so... how's your invisible friend?'
I'll be in your neck of the woods again in late May. We'll be up in Russell on the Bay of Islands with my father-in-law and his wife for about a week, hanging out.

Nothing yet comes close for me to those Subterranean Seuss Sessions....

Well, yes, I meant Modern Time. [Of course the Bootleg Series outtakes stuff as on Tell-tale Signs is always amazing, but it's not "new" in the same sense...].

I'm trying to figure out what to do with the 7 inch vinyl that came with the "delux" package... Perhaps I can use it as a frisbee...
