I hope the audio on this is alright as the studio version on "Ragged Kingdom" is excellent. Unfortunately, I don't have audio on this dinosaur of a computer.

A cover of Joy Division's "Love will tear us apart" by June Tabor and the Oysterband.

“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

...a good song about remaining positive even in extenuating circumstances

Like a merchant with a small
but well-laden caravan
–a dangerous road,

like a person who loves life
–a poison,

one should avoid
–evil deeds.

That Monty Python song always helps to lighten the mood :)

I can somehow not get the following song out of my head:
Suffering is asking from life what it can never give you.
mindfulness, bliss and beyond (page 8) wrote:Do not linger on the past. Do not keep carrying around coffins full of dead moments
If you see any unskillful speech (or other action) from me let me know, so I can learn from it.

Right now I'm listening to a song called Tabidachi no Uta by a Japanese pop/rock band called Mr.Children. In English it means "A Song for Setting Off."

I wasn't able to listen to it at the site your posted, but found it on you tube, probably not the greatest quality though.

Hey Viscid thanks for introducing me to Tuvan throat singing! Never heard a cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" quite like Yat- Kha's.

Never heard a voice as beautiful as this one. Montserrat Figueras, singer of medieval music:

"He turns his mind away from those phenomena and, having done so, inclines his mind to the property of deathlessness: 'This is peace, this is exquisite — the resolution of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation; Unbinding.' " - Jhana Sutta
