That's very cool, Piotr!

Thanks, Piotr. That's really good!

This song is very popular at the moment, and I think it's also pretty good.

Pretty incredible music, guys! Thanks!

There are actually 2 songs on this video: Both are from an old album i use to have called Poems and Songs from Middle Earth. I remember back in the summer of 1970 when i read Tolkein's books. Ahhh....

I think the first song is the Ents' song. The second one: "In Western Lands" comes at the part of the book where Sam thinks Frodo has been killed. He is hopeless, but sings this.
In western lands beneath the Sun the flowers may rise in Spring,
the trees may bud, the waters run, the merry finches sing.
Or there maybe 'tis cloudless night and swaying beeches bear
the Elven-stars as jewels white amid their branching hair.
Though here at journey's end I lie in darkness buried deep,
beyond all towers strong and high, beyond all mountains steep,
above all shadows rides the sun and stars forever dwell
I will not say the day is done nor bid the stars farewell.

For years now this is one of the songs i sing when i am down. Unfortunately, though i was never a great singer, my voice has really gone kaput with the illnesses. Nice to listen to this again though i would be surprised if anyone else likes it :)

I have heard Suzanne Ciani's "Velocity of Love" before and really liked it, but hadn't heard anything else by her till today. When i heard this song, "When Love Dies" it brought tears to my eyes. I will include Velocity of Love too because it is more uplifting!

Thanks MP.
Some years ago I went to the beach where part of the Piano was filmed.

I love the soundtrack to the Piano nearly as much as I love the soundtrack to Koyaanisqatsi.

Here is one of my favourite tracks: Pruit Igoe without the distraction of Coppola's brilliant camerawork.

Very good! It reminds me of "Nixon in China" by John Adams:

Ben, I almost looked for that song to post yesterday. I have it on a cd, but it has the name of "The Promise" from the 1st Pure Moods cd. Here it is again from youtube with that title. Believe it or not, i have never seen The Piano.
