Merry Christmas!

Post by Ben » Fri Dec 23, 2011 5:54 am

Hi everyone,

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not,
whether Christmas is a time for contemplation, over-consumption, catching up with family or just avoiding the insanity,
whatever you maybe doing, I hope it is good. And I hope you and all whom you love are healthy, happy and safe.

Please don't forget our monastic community and other very worthwhile charities at this time of year. If you have the means and the volition, they would be ideal recipients of your gratitude, metta and dana.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions through out the year.
kind regards,

Ben

Hello Ben, and All,

Have a wonderful holiday season - hope you can all catch up with family and friends - let them know how much you love and value them.

Hello, everyone,
xkcd thinks Christmas may never come: http://xkcd.com/994/ but I'm sure he's wrong.

My family isn't quite sure whether to celebrate the Solstice, Hogswatch (look it up, heathens!) or Christmas but any excuse will do and I hope you can all celebrate something or other in the next week or so, too.
And thanks for your company and thoughts over the last year.

I attended with my Pagan wife the great annual Soltice bonfire in order to call back the Sun. It seems to work every year. I am a firm believer in the Hog Father (and I am a big fan of Susan), and for me the greatest of Christmas movies is Bergman's Fanny and Alexander. And let us not forget the Krampus for those who have been naughty this year.

Merry Christmas everyone! Sabbe satta sukhita hotu!

Somewhat reminiscent of Christmas Syndrome, which young Quinn seems to be in the grip of.

Merry Christmas!!

People who know I'm Buddhist and Jewish-born think I don't celebrate Christmas. But I tell them Buddhists can celebrate any and all holidays that they want.

Happy Festivus!

To practice is to know your defilements,
To attain the goal is to know and let go.
