Mixed kamma, as so often: it's nice to look after the cats but their impact on local wildlife is anything but nice. They are very efficient predators and will hunt even when well fed by their owners.

Yes, I had the same thought Kim. I found this because after reading this post, I did a search wondering if it was good for me to keep feeding these two alley cats I have right outside my window, and this article pops up with the picture. Thought it was funny. (not the demise of the birds..)
