I don't know what the capacities of the phpBB web board software are.
If it is possible to alter the content retrieved by clicking the "view new posts" link it would be nice to remove posts from special subforums from appearing in the results.
Some of the special subforums have extra posting guidelines, that might not be obvious to people who read DW via the "view new posts" link and it isn't fun to type up a post only to have it removed. Not everyone is going to stop examine which of the subforums it belongs to and which special rules need to be applied. It would be more smooth just not to have posts from those boards come up in the results.
It seems to me that the idea behind having subforums is to allow people to view particular kinds of content while not having to see other kinds of content. The "view new posts" link undoes that benefit by mixing all things together.

In reading the scriptures, there are two kinds of mistakes:
One mistake is to cling to the literal text and miss the inner principles.
The second mistake is to recognize the principles but not apply them to your own mind, so that you waste time and just make them into causes of entanglement.

Re: Remove special subforums form the "view new posts link"
All you need do, Jhana4, is look at the list of threads that appear after you click the "view new posts" link and the forum which is associated with the thread appears either next to or below the title of the thread.
Furthermore, when you open the text edit window to reply, the forum is clearly displayed above the text-edit box.
Please take the time to extend a bit of awareness and be mindful of where you are posting.
Thanks for your efforts.
kind regards
Ben

“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
