Can we have a Dana forum here?

To give back to our community?


I just took a peak over at Dhamma Wheel Engaged and noticed that the Dana forum is almost empty, as people over there are more focused on the "Social Justice" forum. (This is just a simple observation, nothing more).

I think that it would be nice if the rest of who are not in the slightest interested in "social justice" but are interested in the Buddhist Parami of Dana to be able to participate in such a forum.

It should be here too, because it's necessary, just as virtue and meditation. It would be meritorious for the site stewards to allow members a specific section to go and encourage and be encouraged in this necessary, meritorious practice. Dhamma propagation and dāna are similar, and it would make sense to call it 'Dāna & dhammaduta' or 'Generosity and missionary work'. I think by changing the name it can highlight the importance of this practice in buddhism
