i would like for there to be some way for these (see screenshot) font colors to be at all useful, right now they are too bright and not enough contrasted to be able to read them without difficulty
it might be helpful to add an insertable background
are suggestions ever taken up btw, just wondering
is it kind of obnoxious to make a topic like this

Re: tweaking font colors
I can see all the colours, although some are too pale to read easily. Perhaps you need to turn down your screen brightness?

Re: tweaking font colors
the perception of impermanence should be cultivated for the removal of the conceit 'I am.' For when one perceives impermanence, Meghiya, the perception of not-self is established. When one perceives not-self one reaches the removal of the conceit 'I am,' which is called Nibbana here and now.

One should not make an effort everywhere.
One should not be another's hireling.
One should not live dependent on another.
One should not make the Dhamma a trade.

Greetings,
If there's ever anything you can read, just highlight it with the mouse, and that will invert the colours.
Metta,
Paul.

Yes, I know.
It's not great.
On the other hand, we're using words to communicate, and changing their colour doesn't change their meaning.

Re: tweaking font colors
I'm not quite sure of what you are asking here. If members happen to choose colours that are too pale, they will be hard to read. If they choose readable colours then they will be easy to read. There are plenty of colours that are easy to read, so if post would benefit from using colour to highlight then I would suggest choosing a readable colour.Dhammarakkhito wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:58 am i would like for there to be some way for these (see screenshot) font colors to be at all useful, right now they are too bright and not enough contrasted to be able to read them without difficulty ...

Re: tweaking font colors
Presumably some of those colours would work with different themes. This is general-purpose bulletin board software, that presumably caters for all kinds of needs. Your questions might be better addressed to the developers: https://www.phpbb.com/
