The function doesn't exist.

1. Quote a post and edit out the extraneous information
Or...
2. Copy and paste the required tract of text into a new post, highlight it and press the quote button.
The latter option may be quicker, but it won't retain the author name of other meta-data, which you can add in manually if you want.
