View and posts legends

Post by dhammarelax » Mon Jul 06, 2015 11:33 pm

I think that over the last update the views and posts legends at the top have mysteriously disappeared, can they be reinstated please?

thanks

Some of these things disappear when the window size gets small. This makes the site reasonably mobile-friendly but means that some things will simply not appear on a phone. Does using a large window bring back what you wanted?

What exactly has gone? I see replies and views numbers by each topic.

I have never had any online troubles when using my mobile:

the legend at the top where it should actually say replies and views does not appear.

I really can't figure out where you think this should be. It's there when you look at a list of topics.
Do you mean when you are in a thread?

Or it could be specific to the browser...

I think he means when you click on View Active Topics

In the dark orange border (near top) the views and replies does not show unless you highlight that area. Or does it show for you? We need to put it in a white box or background I guess.

Oh, OK, I'd used AddBlock to get rid of some of the images. I understand the problem now...

You are right I highlight it and it appeared, just like when we used to put lemon on paper to create invisible ink :smile:

Just change to the following in your colours.css file (line 364). The location is http://www.dhammawheel.com/styles/prosi ... olours.css.

Code: Select all

li.header dt, li.header dd {
    color: #f16202;
}
to

Code: Select all

li.header dt, li.header dd {
    color: #f0af47;
}

The banner for the board index is yellow, rather than orange in the forums. Because there are two different banners, the colour should be #f0af47 (I edited it in the post above).

Also, line 251 from the colours.css file should be changed from

Code: Select all

.forumbg .header a, .forabg .header a, th a {
    color: #f16202;
}
to

Code: Select all

.forumbg .header a, .forabg .header a, th a {
    color: #f0af47;
}
There shouldn't be a problem, since the original code is backed up in this thread.

Also, you can use Ctrl+F (Windows) or cmd+F (Mac) to search for the code, rather than searching for the line.

Not crucial, but if you are editing a style sheet directly, there is no need for adding "!important".

Code: Select all

li.header dt, li.header dd {
	color: #f0af47 !important;
}
to

Code: Select all

li.header dt, li.header dd {
	color: #f0af47;
}
