Hello!

Post by Tragedia » Mon May 27, 2019 5:12 pm

Hello, I am new here. I am a 21 year old journalism major in college. I come from a Muslim family but at 13 began to turn toward Buddhism and never looked back sense. I hope to make friends that are on the spiritual path, as I find very little people that share my interest. I look forward to messages from you all.

Welcome!

:anjali:
The heart of the path is so simple. No need for long explanations. Give up clinging to love and hate, just rest with things as they are. That is all I do in my own practice.

Do not try to become anything. Do not make yourself into anything. Do not be a meditator. Do not become enlightened. When you sit, let it be. When you walk, let it be. Grasp at nothing. Resist nothing.

Of course, there are dozens of meditation techniques to develop samadhi and many kinds of vipassana. But it all comes back to this-just let it all be. Step over here where it is cool, out of the battle.

Are you still a practicing muslim? Or have you left Islam? You are very welcome to this forum and share our experience. Which country are you from?
