Hi from Norway

Post by Seven77 »

Hi,

This male body came out screaming a few weeks after the Vietnam War ended. Been looking for a Theravada forum for some time to get in contact with other Buddhists. Live in a small village in northern Norway and don't know many Buddhists around here. Fortunate to find this forum!

Been interested in Buddhism little over a decade, but mostly on the intellectual level without practicing meditation or following precepts. Formally became a Buddhists a few months ago and been meditating daily for the last 6 months. Visited two Thai Forest Tradition monasteries in Norway recently, and staying as a guest at Wat Pha Nanachat in Ubon Ratchatani for two weeks soon.

Grateful for the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha. Looking forward to getting to know people here.

"staying as a guest at Wat Pha Nanachat in Ubon Ratchatani for two weeks soon."

Essential to get an Asian perspective coming from the European Buddhist view.
