Bonjour

Post by Layt »

... or "Hello" if you prefer ~

So I'm French, but unlike most of my compatriots I understand English and I can pronounce it without sounding like a cliché croissant-eater.

Anyway, I'm interested in original buddhism, so I study the Theravāda and I come up with new theories all the time. I also like manga, science and cute things. Now about things that I don't like... religions, traditions, my old philosophy teacher, spiders and vegetables.

I don't believe in the rebirth concept, and I don't pertain to any tradition (obviously).

Uh... is there something else I should add ? Oh right, I don't actually like desserts, I don't understand how people can enjoy eating those things, like seriously !

Welcome!

:namaste:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

I don't like ice cream, French fries and cheese either... I guess I'm an alien ~

:hello:
I like chocolate. But I get a headache when I eat chocolate.
But I still keep on eating.
It is like the addiction to this Samsara.
We know it is only Dukkha but want to keep on coming back.

I moved the posts regarding rebirth to the Great Rebirth thread. This topic should stay as an introduction and welcome to Layt.

That could be an allergy to chocolate. I know some people who have that too, but still eat it, because it tastes so good.

I eat the bittersweet dark chocolate (not the candies), so perhaps not a dessert and therefore also like Layt's diet of excluding desserts.
