Hi all!
My first contact with Buddhism was 12 years ago. I started with diamondway buddhism, changed to zen and ended up with reading the Pali canon (I have never taken the refuge). Unfortunately, I was living at that time in a German town where there was no possibility to practice. So my ambitions faded away until last year. And again I started with one of the diamondway guided meditations for about one year. But than zen meditation became more interesting for me again, since I wanted to focus on breathing and not on mantras. Three weeks ago, I discovered vipassana meditation, I think it is the form of meditation that fits the best for me.
I am not a fan of zen teachers, and I hope that in Theravada (Vipassana) I am not that depending on teachers and can concentrate on meditation and reading the Pali canon. However, this online Sangha looks perfect to me to exchange with others from all over the world online.

Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
