Hi all
I participated here off and on in the past but would like to rejoin and get a bit more active. I find my connection to the Dhamma has been slipping a bit for the lack of Dhamma friends here in Japan (I'm not into Mahayana) so here I am. My emphasis is on sila. As a busy lay follower with lots of work and home responsibilities I think that is a full platter. The householder's greatest happiness is blamelessness I read in a sutta. I really think the Dhamma starts and ends with harmlessness. (ahimsa? or is that the yoga spelling?)
Anyway, thanks.

Welcome back!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Welcome back!
I believe in Pali it is usually spelled as avihiṃsā but ahimsa is also used.

Re: Rejoining
Japan is great. I want to go to a maid cafe in akhihabara, only once though. I'm not a big fan of akb48.
