Hello folks

Post by jmccoy »

Hi there.

I'm from the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Have been a student of Eastern philosophy for most of my life and finally got into determined sitting / meditation after going through some life changing, eye opening ordeals a couple of years ago which led me to trying out my first Goenka 10-day course. Since then I have been sorting through what's right and best for me personally from the mishmash of systems, influences and "technologies" I have been exposed to. I've settled on Vipassana and Theravada.

This looks like a good forum, thanks for being here. :)

Welcome!

:anjali:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
