Hello from Germany

Post by nothing-but-practice » Fri Feb 03, 2017 1:57 am

Hello,

just discovered this awesome discussion forum on the Dhamma of the Theravada - and I'm happy to be a part of it now.

My name is Jan, 45 years old and living in the countryside in Germany.
I had the opportunity to practice meditation in the tradition of Ayya Khema (and Leigh Brasington). Besides, I also enjoyed to practice with Thich Nhat Hanh and his sangha in Germany (Waldbröl).

In addition to Buddhist practice my main interests are modern philosophy and psychology.

Welcome!

:namaste:
To study is to know the texts,
To practice is to know your defilements,
To attain the goal is to know and let go.

- Ajahn Lee Dhammadharo

With no struggling, no thinking,
the mind, still,
will see cause and effect
vanishing in the Void.
Attached to nothing, letting go:
Know that this is the way
to allay all stress.
