Hello from Italy!!

Postby alchemist_ » Wed Dec 21, 2016 8:23 am

Hi all, proud to be with you!

I’m a young (29 yo) engineer from the south of Italy, passionate about vipassana practice and also sports, music and technology. I regularly practice meditation from about 2 years, unfortunately mostly alone because here is very difficult to find a buddhist class. So I wanted to join to this “virtual sangha” to learn from you all and share my experience from this beautiful path of freedom.

Hi Natasha!

I think it is the mind's nature to wander in all directions. All meditators find the practice sometimes harder and sometimes easier. A little tip from my small experience: just keep practicing in all situations, especially in most difficult ones.

Welcome! Benvenuto! I don't know where you are but there's a Buddhist vihara in Reggio Calabria now. Fammi sapere se hai bisogno di aiuto e guarda qui per piu' risorse in italiano: http://www.dhammawheel.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=14968
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and thanks to Khalil Bodhi for the precious news!

I live in Apulia, about 450km far from this new monastery in Reggio Calabria and about 550km far from the Santacittarama monastery. I'm planning to visit one of them next year.
