Hello and Ayubowan! (May you be blessed with long life!)

Post by chethinie » Tue Jan 21, 2014 10:49 am

I accidently stumbled in to this site while trying to look up something related to Buddhism, just to realize that, there are no accidents in life!!

I have read a couple of treads on the discussions and I think this a great site and a great opportunity to learn, discuss and exchange ideas and experiences with like minded people. I have posted a brief bio in the bio section if you would like to know abit more about me.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank who ever that came up with this site! Thank you very much for giving us an opportunity like this, where we could come together to discuss, learn and exchange Theravada Buddhism related topics and experiences...

Sikhino vā khemino hontu (May all beings be happy and safe) :hello:

Welcome!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Greetings and welcome to DW!
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Welcome!

To practice is to know your defilements,
To attain the goal is to know and let go.
