This is my first time delving into Theravada specifically. Most of what I have read discussed general beliefs and the story of Shakyamuni Buddha. I finally got the chance to research several traditions and find myself liking Theravada. I live in Arkansas and am disabled, so finding in-person instruction and discussion is near impossible. Earlier this year, I earned 3rd degree in Reiki which has helped greatly with meditation and visualization. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey here.

Welcome Varillon!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Welcome to DW!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.
