Do you believe that Buddha is infinitely good and gentle?

Like I said in one of the other threads that the way I see the truth as it is, is that there is an infinitely good and infinitely gentle Source of everything that exists.

But, do you as a Buddhist believe that Buddha is infinitely good and infinitely gentle?

Thanks

Re: Why is wrong wrong and right right?

What I am asking is if you believe there is infinite good wich would be infinitely gentle and fair wich I believe is the Source of everything that exists , wich is in your case according to your beliefs Budha. Now if Buddha is infinitely good wich wich means hem ( I imagine according to your beliefs...

Why is wrong wrong and right right?

The truth as I see it is that the Infinite Good doesn't judge. However I do believe that there is good and evil. What I mean is who is to say that evil is wrong to the infinite Good that you might believe somewhere somehow exists? So who is the judge in deciding what's what according to your knowled...

Re: Isn't the truth about Buddha contained in your conscience?

The way I see the truth is that there is an infinite Source of everything that exists, whom people traditionally call God and Hem is( I say Hem instead of Him or Her) is best described by myself in one word as Gentleness. The Source of everything that exists is infinitely Gentle. Now conscience is v...

Re: Isn't the truth about Buddha contained in your conscience?

Conscience is very gentle and we are all born with it. Now if we have conscience then why do we need someone teachings us good from evil. Now if you believe that you need the teachings in order to know good from evil my question to you is: Isn't it your conscience that would recognise truth about t...

Why do some pray to Buddha?

I have seen people bow down and prostrate to Buddha like Muslims prostrate to Allah. Ofcourse, it wasn't identical but at times I heard some Buddhists do more prostrations than the amount Muslims do in a day. Why pray to Buddha or why ask Buddha for forgiveness or blessings? Can Buddha alter karma f...

Re: When do you believe or know that its ok to lie?

If its wrong to kill then how would you survive? Why is it ok or right to kill an animal for food but its not right to kill a human for food? Some people say that even plants feel pain because of their reactions to outside stimuli. There is law of the land you live in and it doesn't and at this stag...

Re: When do you believe or know that its ok to lie?

By the way my answer is: It's always ok or right to lie, but its not always good. Wrong is nothing, everything is right but there is good and evil.

So the question should be: When is it good to lie?

When do you believe or know that its ok to lie?

When do you believe or know when its ok to break the precept of jot lying. I say know in case someone claims enlightenment since Buddhism is very well organised these days, the knowle is acsesible to veryone who is interested, therefore if Buddhist teachings are true there could be enlightened Buddh...

Re: Whats the meaning of Zen Buddhism?

I don't see how can you understand what someone means unless they tell you what they mean, having in mind that that would have to be the truth wich is impossible to know 100%. Not everybody is a spiritual teacher because they have good intentions. People do different things for different reasons. Le...

Re: Your beliefs and or knowlege creates karma

Maybe there are people who choose evil and are enlightened at the same time. It seems as if knowledge would be out of reach for evil people. I disagree. There are evil doctors out there. And there are very good people who weren't capable of finishing primary school.

Re: Whats the meaning of Zen Buddhism?

Thanks for the advice but I am happy with Eckhart Tolle meditation meetup, these forums and I am awaiting now for the activation of the Zen Buddhism forum . The guy Stefan that organises meetings is Sri Lankan and I think his background from way before is in Buddhism and Catholicism. And there are o...

Whats the meaning of Zen Buddhism?

What's Zen Buddhism? I went to an Eckhart Tolle meditation meetup in Melbourne and they where talking about Zen, but the bloke that spoke about it was speaking for way to long, way to fast and I think he was talking about some scriptures and in the end I didn't have a clue what he was on about. From...
