Re: Sleeping pill every night

Friends, I suffer from chronic insomnia. I've been taking a sleeping pill (alphrozam+melatonin) every night, never felt better. Just 0.5mg dosage. Do I continue taking it every night? Do people have any experience with it? I need your feedback, insights, etc. Thanks. You might try seeing an Ayurved...

He said he wouldn't advise doing it because he said that its very unreliable and "people can make things up." ....meaning that pe...

Re: Global Warming: Recent Data

Hi Rob, As Kim rightfully pointed out we have 14 more years of data and science now. This has allowed climatologists (who are legitimate scientists) to tweak their predictions. Kevin dear kevin (and kim) nice to hear of your long roadtrip - hope it was in a V8! You and Kim are saying, if I am parap...

Re: Are you already the Buddha?

Friends, Call it nirvana, enlightenment, awakening, whatever. What is the evidence that one has attained it? Not to convince others but to convince oneself. For example, let's say a guy suffering from a neurological disorder has frequent panic attacks. He becomes enlightened, but that doesn't mean ...

Here is a good interview of James Hansen one of the worlds leading Climatologists. It starts at about 4:30. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt8EUMu6S7c Chris Hedges also mentions how he was skiing in the Swiss Alps. Here is a TED talk by James Hansen from back in 2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Global Warming: Recent Data

A question for those who believe in 'Global Warming' is, why the extremely cold Winters, when one of our own esteemed Aussie scientists predicted 'cold Winters will become a thing of the past?" Boy has he been proven wrong in the last few years. Right now across Europe, people are digging their hom...

Re: What now?

If schizophrenia is the cause of the headaches, why would you stop meditating? Does meditation actually contribute to them? If so maybe there is a work-around perhaps walking meditation could help?

Re: Warm greetings from Wyoming

Hi everyone, just joined the forum after contemplating the idea for a while. Started on the Buddhist path about 25 years ago with a class by S. N. Goenka, but my practice was slow until life gave me a wake-up call through the loss of my wife. For the last nine years that passed since that event I m...
