this is just a superstition This is just a neophytism. when you understand the teaching, nothing is impossible It seems quite possible that this is the case. Not to bring the conversation to such a crude level, but this monk is known almost exclusively because he talks about things that, according to the Buddha, are inappropriate for a monk to talk about. It's not surprising that he struggles with meditation. Those two are almost certainly related. :goo...

According to Bhante Suddhaso almond and coconut milk are allowable. As always, it is probably better to forego them if possible (it's only a day after all). Mettacittena!

I have been there and have been involved (albeit in a limited capacity) side the beginning. The bhikkhu and bhikkhuni who are the leading teachers are amazing and they bring in monastics from all over.
