Re: What music are you listening to right now?

Greetings Louise, ... the Hollies. A wonderful and influential band, often overlooked in the history of modern music. Coincidentally, I saw part of an interview with Graham Nash of the Hollies last night. He seems like a nice guy, and his attitude on life is a refreshing one. He grew up during WW2 ...

Re: What music are you listening to right now?

I watched the DVD "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" recently. This old song from 1974 was in it. It's been running through my head off and on since I watched the movie.

Hi Tony, Thought I would also pass along some of this for you. It is from a Zen perspective, but still you might find something here helpful. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bPCAhMCvtTo/T7y86KJPpBI/AAAAAAAAAEU/8IKUubjKJRw/s1600/Meditation+posture+drawing.jpg http://zen-ua.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/za...

Re: What music are you listening to right now?

Brian Longbeck played for my dad in his room in rehab at the hospital Thursday night, but Dad was able to be let out for a few hours to attend an induction of his childhood friend Joe Maphis into a regional performing arts hall of fame. These two performed this while there. They were fabulous! The o...

Re: Everybody Dies, But Not Everybody Lives

I think the message of the video was about giving motivation to follow one's dreams, be they worldly or otherwise. Personally I saw it as a call to wake up and not be on my deathbed wishing I'd practiced Dhamma more, so I appreciated its message. I, too, saw it this way, and also the other way. Bot...

Re: Facebook advertising for publicity... Money well spent?

I'm in a provincial city of similar size and relative isolation (200 000 people in the city, but only another 100 000 within four hours' driving distance - does that sound about right?). FB doesn't work particularly well for niche interests because there just aren't many people close enough to us t...

Thanks for the post. I read the article with interest. My favorite quote from there was this: "As Ethan Nichtern recently wrote: 'However, just FYI and BTW, I’m also going to support a thousand more Bernies in the future, and not just in politics, but in art, in dharma, in my colleagues and friends,...
