Christian prayer as skillful means
I get a lot of healing through saying the Hail Mary and find it useful to talk to God or Jesus. I will always believe in kamma vipaka. But am wondering if it's ethically alright to use talking to God and chanting our fathers and Hail Marys. It does help me. And because of my illness I cannot do Budd...

Is this tanha or Chanda? Is craving for spiritual happiness wholesome? I also do mindfulness.

Upholding metta sutta
Chanting the karaniya metta sutta for a few hours a day makes me happy, is it wrong practice to chant the metta sutta because it makes me happy? It also makes me friendlier and gives my mind something wholesome to do in my spare time. And obviously reduces hatred in my conciousness.

Monks are life affirming and Mara denying. You can't take music with you when you die.

All religions are like different cars all moving in the same direction people who don't see it like that have no light in their hearts- Ajahn chah. we have to remember Christianity Islam were founded after Buddhas life. In the bible it says be still and know that I am God. That sounds like choiceles...

Even if buddha was reluctant to ordain women, after ananda reminded him that gotami was his wet nurse and helped be his maternal caregiver buddha said under 8 conditions a woman can ordain so we should always fall in line with what buddha decides.

Read the gotami sutta. Sutta 51 in anguttara nikaya it talks about female ordination and what they must do to be a monastic.

in meditation clear comprehension is knowing one of the five hindrances in a experiential way seeing it intamitely and staying with that intimacy when I do this the hindrance leaves on its own because I've experienced the pain of it.

Irritation to sound is a good meditation object it's aversion watch the aversion pass and sound won't bother you.

volunteering doesn't require money as long as it doesn't drain your zeal at work or take away from hours at work.
