Re: Evola: Dharma for Fascists

Buddhism is a pretty masculine religion. What we have in the west is the neutered version.

Re: When otherwise non-political entities become political

Good for the "AFL". The less discrimination we have around the world the better. More non-political entities should get involved.

Re: Muhammad - Worthy of respect?

Where I live it is legal to sell sexual services but illegal to buy. Retarded law if you ask me. This is not a bad law. If a person is selling sex that could be for their survival. If we know a person in that position we can help him/her in other means except buying their service. Perhaps we can do...

Re: Muhammad - Worthy of respect?

Indeed, but was it right or wrong? It depends. Slavery was legal some distant past now the slavery happens in a different way. There is a story that Abraham had a sexual relationship with his daughter according to the Bible. Prostitution was a common thing in the past. Prostitution is a common thin...

Re: Theravada vs. Mahayana

Hi I'm hoping someone can answer my question. I just started practicing Buddhism. I was attracted to the concept of breaking the cycle of death and rebirth. I don't want to come back to this world I want out. I'm a layperson. I'm not going to become a monk to practice. So the question is should I p...

Re: How do you know if you've entered the stream?

Best way of finding out is to drive on a busy highway with hyper aggressive drivers cutting you off left and right. If that doesn't make you want to kill someone or cuss out loudly then you are a stream enterer.

Re: Muhammad - Worthy of respect?

Lol I am very surprised this topic hasn't been locked or the op being permanently banned. That's what would of happened on the other wheel in a split second by Nazi mods. It is nice that these type of topics can be openly talked about without any censorship and repercussions. Speaks to the open mind...

Re: Is the Buddha's teaching a form of conservatism?

Here's something I posted over at DWM a while back in a topic on politics: One could probably make an argument that Buddha is closest to any of the major political parties (U.S.), if you selectively look to certain Buddhist principles or sutras/suttas. The Buddha was for hard work, individual effor...

Re: When the Dalai Lama Dies...

Maybe a woman Dalai Lama can be used as a source of inspiration for other women? And most of the west is strongly pro Feminist so it would work out quite well probably. Or maybe it would merely prove the office of Dalai Lama to be a tool of American imperialism and embolden China more against Tibet...

Interesting viewpoint.
